They were doing a report on healthy eating and how to make better choices. They showed how it used to be that a normal meal at a fast food restaurant was a burger and a fries. Now the normal meal has turned into a super sized version which is approximately 3 times the amount of fat and calories. Another instance they showed was instead of the snack bag of chips we are ordering the biggie size. I think if we choose the smaller portion of everything available that would go a long way towards a healthier lifestyle. One more thing I would like to share with you about that report was the amount of sugar in soda pop. I know a picture would show this better but they had a pile of sugar about 3 inches tall heaped onto an 8 1/2" by 11 " piece of paper and that represented the amount of sugar in a 2 liter bottle of pop. So what I say is, if you haven't already, is give up the soda pop and save yourself a bundle of empty, sugary calories. Two articles to help you this week are on staying motivated and what causes cravings. Until next week...stay on your plan and stay healthy! Pat
Ignore your bad
days. All
dieters have bad days! So don't panic. Wait till they pass, then go back Avoid exercising on a full stomach--wait at least 60 minutes. Exercise diverts blood into the muscles, depriving the intestinal tract of the extra blood it needs for digestion. This can result in stomach cramps, nausea, and/or diarrhea.
