Welcome to all of our new subscribers, I'm glad you're here. To all of our old subscribers I'm glad you're here too!

Did you ever think about why you want to lose weight. What are the rewards that motivate you? There are material rewards that you can give yourself for achieving your weight loss goals such as buying yourself clothes or going out to a movie. But there are many more subtle rewards you get from weight loss success. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Having control over yourself

  • Being able to climb stairs more easy

  • Learning to love veggies

  • More energy to do the things you love

  • Improving your health

  • Quality of life changes for the better

Take some time this week to think about about non-material rewards you could obtain by losing weight. Write them down and use them to motivate yourself.

Recipe

Crockpot Lasagna
  • 1.5 lbs ground turkey (lean)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 lb fat free mozzarella cheese
  • 12 oz ff cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 8 oz no bake lasagna noodles
  • 29 oz tomato sauce
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1 c sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 green pepper chopped

Brown turkey, onion and garlic.
Add spices, tomato sauce and paste.
Heat through.
Mix the mozzarella and cottage cheese together in a separate bowl.
Out about 1/4 of the meat sauce in the crockpot, then a layer of noodles (breaking to fit pot), then a layer of cheese, then a layer of vegetables.
Repeat layering two more time, then top off with remaining meat sauce.
Sprinkle with parmesan if desired.
Cook on low 4 to 5 hours.

8 servings - 350 Calories
