Welcome to all of our new subscribers, I'm glad you're here. To all of our old subscribers I'm glad you're here too!

I always think of Easter as the beginning of nicer weather. And now that the weather is beginning to break it give us the chance to exercise outdoors and we are able to add fresher tasting fruits and vegetable to out diets. Be sure to use these conditions to your advantage.

One of our readers asked a question about before bedtime snacking. Don't deny yourself the snack. The secret is to plan for that nightly snack each day when you are planning your daily food intake. Measure whatever you planned to eat and then you can enjoy it without the guilt of feeling like you're cheating. Try not to eat heavy foods. Crisp celery, rice cakes or fruit are always good choices. Easy Tip Of The Week:

Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains. People that eat mostly fruits, vegetables and whole grains often find that they can eat as much as they want without gaining weight. If they are switching from a diet containing a lot of fatty meats and junk food, they often lose weight.

Recipe

Low Fat Honey Dijon Chicken


Ingredients:
1 package McCormick Bag'n Season for Chicken
1-1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons Dijon style mustard
1 tablespoon honey

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange opened Roasting Bag in 13x9-inch baking pan. Place chicken in bag. Combine Seasoning Blend with remaining ingredients; pour over chicken.

Close bag loosely with nylon tie. Cut 4 small holes in top of bag to allow steam to escape. Bake 30 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.

Variation: Substitute 2-1/2 pounds bone-in chicken parts for boneless chicken breasts and increase baking time to 50 minutes.

Recipe makes six servings.

Calories: 167 per serving
