Welcome to all of our new subscribers, I'm glad you're here. To all of our old subscribers I'm glad you're here too!

One of the most difficult aspects of getting yourself into shape is maintaining the intense motivation you need to achieve your weight loss goals. After a month or so into a weight loss program, just about anyone will lose a bit of their enthusiasm.

I have learned a few things that help keep me motivated and dedicated to achieving my weight loss goals. These tips have helped me a great deal and I think they will help you too!

Here are a few weight loss motivation tips:

  • Weigh yourself only once a week.

  • Place a photo of the heavier version of yourself in plain view.

  • Visualize everyday. Everyday, you should visualize how you want yourself to look.

  • Keep setting your sights farther and higher as you achieve each one.

Use these tips to help you stay motivated.

Easy Tip Of The Week:

When choosing a diet program, think about your lifestyle. Are you away from home a lot? Are you running 100% of the time? Flexibility in areas such as food substitution, or requirements that you weigh your portions and/or keep a diary may be the factors that make a diet the right or wrong choice for you. The diet you choose should be as non-intrusive to your existing lifestyle as possible. This will dramatically increase your likelihood of sticking to it long term.

Exercise

Choose activities that are fun, not exhausting.  Add variety.  Develop a repertoire of several activities that you can enjoy.  That way, exercise will never seem boring or routine.

Wear comfortable, properly fitted footwear and comfortable, loose-fitting clothing appropriate for the weather and the activity.

Find a convenient time and place to do activities.  Try to make it a habit, but be flexible. If you miss an exercise opportunity, work activity into your day another way.

Recipe

Zero Salad Dressing

1/2 cup tomato juice (or V8)
2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar
1 tablespoon minced onion
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon oregano
Dash of pepper
Dash of garlic powder

Combine all ingredients in jar with tightly fitted top, and refrigerate for several hours before serving.
