Physical activity improves your muscle/fat ratio - thus raising metabolism for easier weight management - and boosts your motivation to maintain the weight you lose. According to data from the US National Weight Control Registry, regular exercise is relied on by a majority of dieters who have successfully lost and maintained weight. In addition, exercise has a benefit of reducing risks of cardiovascular disease and diabetes, beyond that produced by weight reduction alone. Start exercising slowly, and gradually increase the intensity. Trying too hard at first can lead to injury. So go slow and it is advisable to check with your physician first. Be sure to read the article on what you had for breakfast. I've also included an article with information on tomatoes being the great American diet food. Have a good week! Until next time...stay on your plan and stay healthy! Pat The real key to losing weight is consistency. If you start missing meals or skipping workouts your progress will slow down to the point of discouragement. How bad do you want it? Find a good program and stick with it. Remember, you get out of it what you put into it!
Exercise, exercise, exercise! Exercise increases your metabolism and burns off excess fat. When is the best time to exercise? Our metabolism slows down about 8 hours after we wake up, so 30 minutes of exercise in the evening, before dinner will increase your metabolism for about two to three more hours just when it was starting to slow down. This produces a significant increase in fat burned off, even after the exercise is over. "You're never beaten until you admit it."
