Studies have shown that walking for extended periods of time will give you a 20% less chance of getting breast cancer, a 30% less chance of getting heart disease, a 50% less chance of diabetes, and would help you live longer and healthier into old age. The odds are really in your favor to take up walking as part of your healthier life. How can you get more walking in? Take an extra walk around the mall when you're done shopping. park the furthest spot away from where you're going, give you're dog an extra long walk, or take every opportunity if you can to walk where you are going. All these tips and I'm sure you can think of more, will help you become a healthier and thinner you. Be sure to read the article on tips for reducing fat in your diet. Pat Instead of eating the forbidden piece of candy, brush your teeth. If you're about to cheat, allow yourself a treat, then eat only half a bite and throw the other half away. When hunger hits, wait 10 minutes before eating and see if it passes.
A great bonus of exercise
is that it reduces your appetite. When your blood-sugar level drops, you feel
hungry. If you exercise regularly, your blood-sugar level remains stable and
there will be less insulin in your blood because your muscles use
proportionately more fat than sugar as fuel. Insulin is what causes the
blood-sugar level to drop precipitously, thereby making you feel hungry. "Don't
wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will
always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get
started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more
and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful. Baked Potato Topper or Dip1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt Place yogurt, cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese and soy sauce in a food processor or blender. Mix until completely smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients. Chill. Serve as a topping for a baked potato or dip for fresh vegetables. Yields 1 cup. Serving size: 2 tablespoons.
