I know when I think of the word diet I see before me a restriction. I can't have the things I want and it automatically causes me to want them more. That is why you shouldn't think you are on a diet. I think a better choice of words is that you are choosing a healthy lifestyle. Have the foods you want.. only in moderation. Cook in ways that cut down on calories and fat but not taste. Park at the farthest spot in the lot to get in extra steps. Before you know it that healthier life style will result in a healthier you and slimmer too! Quite simply if you absorb more calories than you burn you will gain weight. Resistance training will help you get over plateaus. Lift some weights as part of your exercise and the fat will turn into muscle. And muscle burns more calories all day long.
