you? It's a good idea if you feel the urge to eat something, try to
substitute something else for the activity of eating food. For example,
if you reach for something to eat if you're bored, take a walk instead. Or if
you want to keep munching on a bowl of goodies, do something with your hands
such as crocheting or writing in a journal. The substitute activity will
be much better for you whether it's a calorie burning activity or a mind
enriching one. Either way make the right choice. You'll feel so much
better.
28 Small Changes that Will Make a Big Difference Pat Let your brain help you feel full. Stretch your meals to, at least, 20 minutes or longer. Your stomach, mouth and brain are all connected and it takes 20 minutes of chewing before your stomach signals your brain that you are full. To successfully lose weight, you need to eat slowly for 20 minutes or longer. This is one reason why liquid diets leave you feeling hungry after just a short time. Make a point to exercise first thing in the morning, every morning. Your body was made to be active on a daily basis and if you exercise or workout in the morning you are more likely to be successful at exercising consistently. And it will become part of your regular routine.
"Sometimes the road to target weight is not a
smooth one, and for some it can be longer than we would like; obstacles crop up
and often our determination is tested. Always keep sight of your dreams."
