Hi,

Welcome to all of our new subscribers, I'm glad you're here. To all of our old subscribers I'm glad you're here too!

I hope each and every one of you is doing great. I'm doing something tomorrow that I haven't done in 20 years.  I am taking a trip to Las Vegas without my husband.  I can't believe I'm actually going through with it. Believe me when I tell you it is a big independent step for me. Let's hope that I have determination to avoid those buffet lines.

Vacationing and diets are not always a good mix.  While it can be done, it is not always easy. The phrase that comes to mind in this situation is "easier said than done".

If any dieting vacationer wants to know, here are some of the basic ideas to stay on program:

1. Avoid buffets. Too many choices offer too many chances to fail.

2. Get in exercise whenever you can. Walk and see the sights. It is always the best way to tour an area.

3. Carry a water bottle with you and use it constantly.

4. If you can, carry some fruit with you if you get the munchies or a lot of outdoor markets areas sell fresh fruit. 

5. If you have a sweet tooth try a coffee at a gourmet coffee shop. they are everywhere now and all of them offer fat free creamers and flavors give you the dessert taste you may be craving.

Easy Tip Of The Week:

Many dieters cling to the idea that losing weight requires superhuman willpower. This is not true. The truth is, losing weight can be done. All you need is faith in your ability to do it. The rest is a matter of time.

So, don't let your previous diet-failures put you off. Instead, look ahead and start believing in yourself. Because once you believe you can lose weight, you will.

Exercise

Exercise increase muscle to fat ratio. Muscle cells are 7 times more metabolically active than fat cells. So the more muscle you have, the less fat you have and the easier it is to lose weight.

Recipe

Super Veggie Wrap

1 cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
2 small zucchinis, thinly sliced
2 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
4 large white mushrooms, chopped
4 green onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped (optional)
4 10-inch fat free tortillas
1/2 cup fat free cream cheese

  1. In a small bowl combine all vegetables.
  2. Thinly spread 1 tablespoon cream cheese on each tortilla.
  3. Place some of the chopped vegetable mixture evenly across center of tortilla.
  4. Roll up tortilla, trapping ingredients tightly inside to form a tight tube.
  5. When finished rolling, slice each tube into 1-inch wide sections.
  6. Serve.

Yields: 4 servings. Each serving provides:
