Hi,

Welcome to all of our new subscribers, I'm glad you're here. To all of our old subscribers I'm glad you're here too!

Well, I made it back from Vegas.  Even though I had a positive attitude, I did not end up a winner but I didn't do too bad on the eating part.  Only had 2 meals per day and only 1 buffet the entire trip. I ate a lot of salad and fruit so it worked out O.K.  At least I didn't gain anything and that is what matters most. I also drank a lot of water. The dry air in the desert area causes you to be thirsty so the water helped a lot.

I think what I tried to do on my trip was not focus on trying to being perfect the entire trip.  I did what I could when I could which helped me overall stay in control.

If you keep focused on the small achievements you will reap the big benefits.  All the small things you do add up to big losses in the end. One step at a time.  A journey consists of a thousand steps.  All these "clichés" offer advice that are pertinent to weight loss. You need to just do a little at a time.  Don't look at the entire process at once.

If you have to lose 80 pounds, don't look at it as 80 pounds but break it up into smaller goals such as 8 pound increments and strive to achieve the smaller goals. It will help you because the 80 pounds sounds unattainable while the 8 pound goals are much more achievable and as you reach each goal it will give you more confidence towards the next level.

Stick with the small steps and reward yourself when you achieve them and believe in yourself so that you can make it all the way.

Here is something you may want to look at to help you lose weight. It was voted the Web's most popular diet and weight loss program.

Easy Tip Of The Week:

When you don't eat well-balanced meals during the day or skip them entirely you will end up so famished by the time you do eat that you're far more likely to binge. A reliable way to keep your appetite from getting out of control is to incorporate good sources of protein into your meals.

Include cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt in your breakfast to give you a good start to the day.  Have chicken for lunch to stop the munchies in the afternoon.  Peanut butter or yogurt for a snack goes a long way towards keeping you filled up.

Exercise

It's nothing new, but exercise is  probably the most important predictor of whether you will succeed at long term weight loss and weight loss maintenance.  In order for exercise to be helpful in weight loss, you should strive for a minimum of five - 30 minute sessions per week.  The good news is that recent research has shown that three - 10 minute sessions in a day are as good as one - 30 minute session.  This helps many in combating the old "no time for exercise" excuse. Be certain to find something you enjoy.  You'll be more apt to stick with it.
