Weekly Tip | Exercise | Quote | Recipe Hi, Well for all you interested parties, I didn't sign up for Weight Watchers yet but I still see it on my horizon. I was just so busy this week...my daughter celebrated her 18th (I can't believe it) birthday and I just didn't leave enough time for other things as I had a party for her over the weekend. I did however have a conversation with my niece about the benefits of the Weight Watchers program. She had a beautiful baby boy just about a year ago and had some trouble taking off the extra weight. But she joined Weight Watchers and was able to take off 28 pounds in about 4 months. Melissa, my niece, just loves Weight Watchers because you can still eat all the things you love plus lose weight. It works really good for her when she eats about 6 different meals a day because it keeps the metabolism moving. It's funny how a conversation can lead into helpful diet tips. We were sitting around talking about this newsletter and my other niece's boyfriend offered a great tip. He is a real fitness guru, eats plenty of protein but always drinks water. Every day he fills up a 64 ounce container of water and carries it with him wherever he goes. That way he makes sure he gets all of his water every day. And everyone knows what a benefit that is. Until next week...stay on your plan and stay healthy! Pat Choose to start your meals with a salad. Keep your dressing to the side and instead of pouring it on...try touching the bottom of your fork just into the dressing before putting any salad onto the fork. You will taste the dressing with every bite but you won't get all the calories. Taking a few extra steps here and there can make a huge difference in your weight loss efforts.
